So I’ve gotten the all clear to talk about the upcoming season and from now on its going to be hitting us from every angle, now those getting married this winter will be full flow through their plans (if not call me now urgently!) However here is a little seasonal inspiration for those planning to tie the knot in winter 2017! and a few last minute tips for those getting married in the next two months.
We all love Spring & Summer Weddings but some of the most beautiful weddings and events I’ve had helped with have been in the winter months, especially in December and all have been truly memorable. Sometimes there’s nothing more comforting than a log fire and all that all the comforts that come with.
So here’s some inspirations from a selection of our Premium Suppliers and their beautiful seasonal ideas for this winter and also 2017! for those planning ahead.
Johnnie Cooke who runs Cookes Catering (as well as the restaurant in Brown Thomas Dublin) specialise in wedding catering and have a wonderful selection of seasonal dishes on their extensive wedding menu packages.
Pre ceremony drinks and snacks are all the rage and possible for those having civil ceremonies in non religious venues, but guests need to be made aware that food and beverages are not permitted in the room where the ceremony is to be held. So what better way to welcome your guests in from the cold before your ceremony with a beautiful mulled wine, hot port and some seasonal warm mini mince pies.
Well keep the bubbles for after the ceremony!
Speaking of, Great news!!!
So Prosecco (By the way my favourite Prosecco and I’m prone to a tipple!!!) now have their website set up so you can get delivery to your door of seriously premium quality Italian produce! I have been recommending it to couples for weddings and other events I organise for some time now; and for a reason!! In venues which provide their own lists I always enquire about corkage because to be honest even with the corkage charge I find I’m recommending a superior quality beverage and for mostly a better price!
Kerry Harvey, one of my favourite designers has a beautiful winter themed design offering, called “Baby it’s Cold Outside” Always loving Kerry’s work, and adore this beautiful winter themes.
All the Glitters is there too – a beautiful pastel take for the elegant Christmas/New Year wedding or even Spring Summer for those that like to add some sparkle!
Jeanette from Couture de Fleur has just put the finishing touches to a winter display and it’s stunning; check out these beautiful pictures below.
And finally a bit of self promotion; do you have a friend or family member getting married nest year or 2018?
Here is a fantastic Christmas gift idea, a wedding consultation package with yours truly and if the couple decide that they would like further help the cost of the voucher will be deducted from that fee!
