The Diary; June 7th Bridal Brunch

card room

On Sunday June 7th I had the incredible pleasure of hosting our first Bridal Brunch in association with the Stephens Green Hibernian Club one of Dublin’s most exclusive wedding venues.

It was a beautiful summer afternoon with the club and St. Stephens Green it overlooks both sparkling in the sunshine as we welcomed our 50 guests to a beautiful day designed to help & inspire those planning to get married who attended with their friends.

The red carpet greeted our guests and we escorted them upstairs to the stunning card room, which by the way can also be used for civil ceremonies! See my recent post on Dublin’s top 10 wedding rooms

On the day we had it adorned with displays from premium suppliers from around the country including Kerry Harvey Designs, from Donegal, Christina-Belle Jewellery Dublin & The Bridal Loft in Cootehill Co.Cavan.

Here the guests were treated to a So Prosecco & canapé reception while they had a chance to mingle and chat to suppliers from the various companies.  I have had the pleasure of recommending the So Prosecco products to couples and it really is a beautiful fine Italian beauty. There were also treats on hand from Delish Melish who also provided beautiful individual tasty wedding favours for each guest at the delicious brunch which was to follow.

Then it was nearly time for brunch and everyone made their way to the fabulous ballroom overlooking the green. The wonderful Jeanette Walsh from Couture De Fleur had a stunning display of bridal & bridesmaids bouquets which were used later by the models during the display of vintage & contemporary bridal couture.

Also on display was a wonderful collection of handcrafted pieces from Ricard of Varak & Clyde ; beautiful & inspirational handcrafted pieces based in an old farmyard in Kilkenny, where they design and handcraft all their gifts. I have truly fallen in love with the Breakfast bed tray, see below..

We were delighted to have Peter & Anne from The Grocery in Tyrrellspass in Co.Westmeath which is a vintage tea shop & events based location, the Grocery offers a unique hen party experience. A bride can choose from a variety of craft workshops which includes make your own fabulous fascinator, classy cup cakes, decoupage and more. Coupled with an afternoon tea in a unique vintage style setting, the newly refurbished barn at the grocery offers the bride and her hens an afternoon to remember.

Our guests were then seated for a fabulous three course brunch paired with fine wines in this historic room overlooking St. Stephens Green.

During brunch everyone was treated to a display of vintage and contemporary Bridal & Bridesmaids couture from Dirty Fabulous  on Dublin’s Wicklow Street & The Bridal Loft from Cootehill in Co.Cavan

Below are some of the amazing moments of fashion from this fabulous display modelled by Katrina Brady & Laura Galligan; the 2014 Cavan Rose of Tralee.

Katrina’s make up for the day was by Kerry Harvey

Laura’s Make up was by Vivienne Pomeroy who was also on hand on the day for consultations with our guests.
